What Is Your Automatic-Writing Gift?

For those of you who are interested specifically in learning more about my gift, like how I do it and why - then you have come to the right page. Here, I will gladly share the depth of expression I have for what I do, and the fascinating processes that allow my automatic-writing gift, to come through. I am also happy to briefly share more about its origins, and exactly how it works for me, and how its expression has led me on a path of Soul sharing the essence of it s unfolding knowledge; wisdom; and inspiration - with you.

A Dormant & Elusive Gift

The origins of my present day automatic-writing gift, stems directly from my childhood and my inner Soul expression. I will explain a little more about this as we progress; but, suffice it to say that a few years ago, I inadvertently re-awakened a gift, which I had never spoken about to anyone, outside my immediate family, and that had laid dormant and eluded me for decades.

Faded Into Oblivion

The full circumstances surrounding its dormancy, and Soulful origins are explained in great depth in Trilogy Part 1 of my new book 'The Soul Whisperer'; but , until its sudden re-awakening - its presence; practice; and purpose in my life had simply faded into oblivion. This elusive period included growing up from my adolescence into adulthood; eventually getting married, and raising children of my own. So, I was mystified to find it re-emerging in my life, once more.

Borne Out Of Tragedy

I would like to have told you that, the circumstances surrounding its sudden re-discovery into my life had been borne from an event, which was exciting and celebratory; but, in truth, it did not. On the contrary, its re-discovery was sadly borne out of tragedy, and immense loss. Why? I cannot say, except that suddenly, in the midst of such tragedy - something very special was able to be ignited from within my Soul, and able to transpire and re-emerge, from within me.

Perfect Timing or Not?

Maybe, it was perfect timing, or the fact that - it was 'I' - who needed to hear these words more than anyone else? I am still not quite sure, but this gift was re-awakened in my life, just at a time when I felt I had nothing, or very little to offer anyone else - least of all, myself.

From The Depths Of Soul

Why these words were suddenly being gifted to me, and were being heard and channeled through, from the depths of my Soul - remains another unanswered question in my life. But, all I can say is that as soon as I began to receive them, I soon recognized them for what they were, and I was immediately compelled to put pen to paper, and to begin auto-writing them down.

Automatic-writing & Soul Channeled

So, a new journey was started in my life, the likes of which I never expected in a million years. Indeed, it was so unexpected I was left in a state of bewilderment for quite some time. Let me continue to share the whole process of how I am able to now use this gift and why.

My Journals

As soon as these inspiring words come through to me, they always go straight into one of my journals, using pen and paper as I hear it (this is a process I have come to refer to as automatic-writing and can also be easily described, in my case, as Soul Channeling). It is very quick, and there is no time for hesitancy or delay, if I do not act then, I know it will be lost. Sometimes, if I am caught unaware, I will grab scraps of paper, tissue boxes or whatever is available to write on - just to make sure I can write down whatever I hear or I am given - right away.

Uncovering Soul Expression

This form of Soul expression, which had laid dormant for so many years has now brought great sense; meaning; and purpose; into my life. The reason I am adamant about sharing the inspiring nature of what I do is that - I believe; that by sharing these words with others, I can also help others to discover the power to utilize them, and to do exactly the same thing. I will clarify what I mean by this, as we move on.

My Personal Writing Experiences

Let me begin by helping you understand the processes and experiences I have, whilst undertaking this form of writing. I believe doing so, will help you fully understand what I do, in far more depth and how I do it.

Time & Flow

Essentially, I will begin with the time and the flow of what I do. My automatic-writing 'sessions' can last from anything on average from 30 minutes to several hours. These are sessions of continuous and non-stop writing. I find that whenever I am writing in full flow it is always a struggle to keep up with whatever is flowing and coming though to me. Funny as it may sound, I have, on the odd occasion, found that the ink from my pen has literally run out on me, because I have just been writing for so long. However, at the end of the day, it is not how much I write, but what I write - that I wish to share with you - I trust that ultimately, you will find what I have to share to be of benefit and great significance, so it can also - be utilized in your life.

Defining My Old & New Automatic Writing Styles

Not long after my gift was re-awakened, I soon became aware that this new 'awakened' automatic-writing style of mine, was very different, to the type of auto-writing I had undertaken, as a child. That style was channeled through to me in a very trance-like state and my writing could often be very abstract. Sometimes it was clearer and concise, but on many occasions I could not easily understand or decipher, what I had written; so I just gave up trying to work it all out. Perhaps, it was because I was just a child and a little too immature to realize what I was writing about - but, it was definitely a very different process and outcome - to what I do, now.

New Automatic-Writing Style

My new automatic-writing style is very different, and the process and outcome is far more engaging and pleasing to the eye. There is no detached trance-like state or anything like that, I simply hear like a gentle Soul whisper and whatever comes through to me, I feel a great compulsion to write down. It is a simple gentle process, almost like being given dictation or taking down a transcription, from someone that is verbally and quietly speaking to you. As such, my writing style, this time around is very simple, and the inspirational undertones of the subject matter and content of what Soulfully comes through to me -is received and then understood, once I read it, with pinpoint accuracy and clarity.

Defining My Subject Matter

My subject matter varies immensely, but generally all my work is affirming and very Soul inspiring. In the beginning, I had no say, in the specific subject matter, as every affirmation, quote or passage, would simply come from out of the blue and unfold during the nonstop auto-writing process. This is the foundation of my work and a major part of how all my original affirmations and quotes - come through to me.

Subject Selection & Choice

As I matured in the auto-writing process and became more familiar with what was happening, and I felt more comfortable with the process, I discovered that, if I internally request to receive knowledge about a specific subject or topic then sure enough, everything that came through to me - would relate to that subject or topic. This was how I was able to auto-write thousands of Soul affirmations and quotes for my Life Series Collection . This process was also used for the affirmation passages and quotes that are shared in Trilogy Part III of The Soul Whisperer book.

A Matter Of Content

With regards to my Affirmations and Quotes, even though my subject matter can emerge from out of the blue or be internally requested, the one thing I do not attempt to control or define, during the auto-writing process is the content that comes through. What I mean by this is that, I simply allow the content to flow freely through to me - without any subjection or judgment from the mind. This enables me to receive a great variety of content spanning many subjects; which can be offered from different viewpoints and alternative perspectives.

Hard-Hitting & Thought Provoking

As such, the content of some of my inspiring affirmations and quotes can be very direct and hard-hitting, whilst others are more gentle. Some passages may even come through from a negative point of view, to address a specific feeling or emotion. However, I have noticed that - even when this is the case, it will always end on a positive or thought provoking note.

Auto-Writing Style (Phase I)

I personally have what I now define as, two types of automatic-writing styles and processes. The first original style of auto-writing, which I will refer to as Phase I, is an enigmatic process because - with regards to my handwritten affirmations and quotes , it is very rapid and I have no idea what will flow through to me next, or when, or where. When this happens I have no previous conception about what content will go into each passage; or how each sentence or affirmation will be formed; or how it will begin and end.

Outside Looking In

It may sound strange but, during these sessions - I allow the words to simply just flow through to me and to go from one passage or affirmation, into the next - by simply connecting to Soul within, using pen and paper. At times, during these sessions, even though my hand is moving, and I am writing down every word that is coming through, I can actually separate myself from the Soul connection and switch to my mind and ask questions, or even say to myself things like - "this does not make sense, or where are things going with this?" - but, what I find is that when I re-engage, during a session - the affirmations or quotes are always rounded off, and make perfect sense.

A Process Of Pure Expression

For me, the process of auto-writing and Soul Channeling, by putting pen to paper, is the ultimate Self-expression. This process leaves me free; there is simply no need to stop, or consciously ponder - what to write down next; or how to complete a sentence or structure it. There is also no need to wait and wonder what to say; or how to say it. Indeed, there is also no need to pause, or to wait poised with my pen and paper - wondering how to proceed or what will follow. I simply just write down whatever I am given or has been gifted, and it always just naturally flows one after the other, until finished.

Engagement Of Soul & Dis-engagement Of The Mind

If I am having an auto-writing session and I reach a point where I have caught up with the words that are coming through, or I find myself waiting for about 10 seconds or more - then I know it is time to stop writing in this way. If I am not writing continuously, then I know that I am no longer engaged with the Soul and what I am doing instead is rather engaging with the mind - so I will stop.

Beyond Pen & Paper

After using Phase I of my auto-writing style for quite some time, I decided one day to try and share the deeper meanings of my affirmations, quotes, and passages - with some of my readers. Making this decision was a turning point, because, it meant I became obliged to interpret many of my original handwritten affirmations and quotes for my Free Daily Inspiration Emails. Thus, my style of automatic-writing began to evolve beyond just pen and paper, into what I now call Phase II.

Interpretation & Insights (Phase II)

When I began to study my original auto-written passages, in an effort to share their deeper meanings with readers, I found that the more I studied them the more insights and revelations about them, begun to come through to me. I soon began to recognize that this secondary process was actually an extension of the Phase I, pen to paper auto-writing process. Whereby, Phase II is reserved solely for understanding and interpreting my original Phase I material. This Phase II process is very similar to Phase I, with a few natural variations; so, instead of auto-writing with pen and paper, I can type everything straight into my laptop or computer.

Phase I & Phase II Subtle & Major Differences

The processes of Phase I and Phase II are very similar, but the main difference is the use of my keyboard, rather than pen to paper. The other differences worth mentioning, is that Phase 1, is always the basis; the origin; or source - upon which the Phase II aspect of my work must begin. In other words, Phase II emerges from the insights; reflections; or interpretations of my original material. As such , the Phase II writing process is very different -it is not like writing non-stop; instead, it is an ongoing and evolving process. Although it has similar characteristics to Phase I, it takes much longer, because the insights, which come through are always unfolding and evolving - and they unravel, bit by bit.

Missing Pieces Of The Puzzle

Phase II, allows me to freely auto-write pages of insights and interpretations, but it does not end there; because, a day or two later more insights and revelations will come through, which will relate to previous pages or paragraphs that I auto-wrote earlier. I will then have to go back and slot them in the right place. In both cases (Phase I and II) I must simply allow the insights to come through to me, but I will be left to decipher where passages, go and where and how they all fit in together. In some cases, especially for The Soul Whisperer, it was like trying to complete a puzzle - but waiting on verbal instructions about how to do it. This was challenging because, it was like some of the pieces to the jigsaw puzzle were missing, or the right pieces were not given when they should have been - and were only given much later. You have to be patient to auto-write all that you can, until eventually everything fits together and slots into the puzzle perfectly.

Back To Front

The process of Phase I and II, both work back to front. In normal cases a writer knows what he or she wants to write, or researches it, then writes it down. But in my auto-writing process, even if I know the subject matter, I must wait for the content and insights to be unveiled and come through to me, as I do not know what they are - until afterwards. When I was writing my book 'The Soul Whisperer' I used both Phase 1 and Phase II writing processes, for Trilogy Part II and Trilogy Part III of my book.

The Unknown

In the beginning, my book was only about sharing the original affirmations that had been written (Phase 1). I did not even realize I was writing about the Soul until several drafts later when it suddenly dawned on me that everything that was coming through to me, was about the Soul. This happened because every time I sat down to interpret my original affirmations more and more insights just kept coming through. How it works is that - I do not start off knowing what content I want to write, then write it down. No, this is not the case. What happens for me instead, for both Phase I and Phase II processes of auto-writing - is that everything works the other way around. I write what comes through and only then, do I really get to know, the extent and depth of my content and what I am writing about.

Working On My Book The Soul Whisperer

By Interpreting my original material, so many of my insights and revelations were able to unfold. These were the interpretations, I eventually came to share about my understanding of the Soul, as discussed in Trilogy Parts II and III of my book. Hence, the whole process took me four years to complete, even though I wrote in this manner, virtually every day. The challenge with this process is that, because it is evolving - each time I thought I had the complete picture to my puzzle, more insights would come through to me - just as I got to the end, and I would have to go back and incorporate them into the book, to complete it and give everything its full meaning.

Presentation of Phase 1 & Phase II

The process of using Phase I, means I rarely need to edit my original handwritten pen to paper Soul affirmations; quotes; or passages. I generally like to leave them untouched and they are often left in their original format. The only thing I need to do is later copy them and transcribe them from my journals into text notepad. However, when it comes to Phase II of the writing process, I have to make sure the content is organized and in a coherent manner and palatable format for my readers.

Honored By Sharing

I hope that what I have shared with you has been of value, and I am honored to be partaking of both the Phase I and Phase II auto-writing styles. In time, I have come to realize that despite their slight variations, both remain an integral part of my self-expression and being. Also, It has recently dawned on me that, both styles do not just naturally complement each other -but one cannot exist, without the other.

More Than Just Words With Meaning

Before I end off, I want to tell you why I describe my work as being more than just words. It is because since their introduction into my life, they have helped change me on a very deep level. They have transformed my thinking and my whole outlook on life in a way and manner that I have never experienced before. Now if this is possible, for me, then it will also be possible for you.

However, the key to achieving this is by having a clear understanding about two very important things. It is not just how these words were supposed to be utilized or read - but to whom?
