“The art of true
living is achieved,
by living in the present
and not the past.”
It is not always an easy thing to let go of the past and to fully immerse yourself in the present. The ability to let go of the past, will vary amongst us all and our reasons for not doing so, will often become inexplicable.
In truth, all that you will come to experience today will, by tomorrow, have already become your past; and will also remain unchangeable.
As such, what will be gained from all that has already past or become unchangeable is not the experience of dwelling upon it or re-living it; but to utilize the knowledge of its experience to find the capability to change only that which is changeable – which can only be achieved in the present.
To find yourself continuously thinking or reliving the past is to unwittingly allow your life to become stifled; where opportunities which should be taken will be – missed; all that should be appreciated – ignored; and all that should be embraced -rejected.
Today may you rather become immersed in the present. Where what has past, may be acknowledged, and what is yet to come, embraced; and what is present, savored and appreciated, in a manner that the art of true living may be fully achieved – by all that is present in your life, not all that has past.
