Regardless of who we are, we will all face the unexpected “twists and turns” that life will inevitably hand out. No one seems to escape this mystery and we will all eventually be dealt our own deck of cards. So what is all this? The good, the bad and why is it that we all experience one or the other or both at varying degrees throughout our life times?

In my humble opinion, I often refer to this mystery as an ”obstacle course of learning”, living life to me is learning and it is a journey of learning which we must all be willing to undertake. For it seems that from both these experiences (good and bad) we always learn something either about ourselves or about someone else. This knowledge, which is borne out of experiencing both good and bad, becomes the ”knowledge to live our life” that is special and unique only to us, therefore it is our true ”life’s learning.”

For Your Mornings:

l want you to think about a specific event, good or bad, that you know, has changed your life. Perhaps it made you become the person who you are right now. Think about who, what or where you would have been today – if that event had never happened or occurred in your life.

For Your Evenings:

Use the quiet of the evening to reflect upon that life changing event that you thought about earlier in the day. I want you to look upon it as one of the greatest ”learning experiences” that you know you needed to experience in your life and to accept it as just that. Don’t moan, groan or gloat about the event itself, but rather reflect upon what you have become or learnt as a result of it.

Perhaps you will now be able to look upon It as an ”experience of learning” from which, you have now been able to grow and develop into who you are. Think about what it has taught you, about yourself and about others. Did this learning experience, equips you in a unique way that has made you more knowledgeable about how to live your life?

As your day comes to a close, I want you to cherish the knowledge and understanding that you now hold, as a result of what you went through. This is knowledge, only known to you and no one can take it away, it is therefore your ”knowledge to live your life” allowing you to journey forward in life, as you should.

I will leave this inspirational thought with you, in the hope that you will understand that everything you have experienced, both good and bad, in your life thus far, has not been ”wasted” – it has all been for you. Each experience was what was required of you, to assist you in learning more about yourself and others. May you embrace the days that lie ahead as a continual part of adding to this knowledge so you may journey onwards in life, far better equipped with this knowledge, than you could without it.

To your Inspiration and Success and have a wonderful week!

Are You Entertaining Your Joy?

I am so pleased to be “Sharing Personal Words of Inspiration with You”. I hope I can inspire you throughout the days and weeks that lie ahead.

During our life time, we must face both joy and sorrow, and when things get tough it is easy to dwell on events in our lives that caused us to feel sorrowful. My personal inspiration / affirmation today is to encourage you to think only of that which has brought you joy in your life.

I call it “Entertaining your Joy” and I would encourage you today to “Entertain your joy” rather than your sorrow. When you “Entertain your Joy” you automatically begin to feel joyful. Even if right now, you feel that you have nothing to be joyful about, think of something that made you laugh in the past and let it bring a smile back to your face. With a simple smile, that great feeling of Joy will return and with that joy, you will begin to attract more things into your life to feel more joyful about.

For Your Mornings:

If you are not already smiling to yourself, then think of something immediately that made you laugh or smile in the past. It can be anything, like an old joke, an amusing childhood memory, something you heard or even something that you saw. As you smile notice how joyful you feel and let this feeling stay with you throughout the rest of your day.

For Your Evenings:

Remember that thought that you had earlier in the day that brought a smile to your face. Make sure that you end your day with this thought once more. Let it be the last thing that you think of at the end of your day so you fall asleep with a smile.

It is so much easier to get through your day feeling joyful, and I know that by leaving you with this thought, you will have many joyful days ahead of you.

To your Inspiration and Success and have a wonderful week!

Are You the Only Person You Can Really Trust?

February 16th, 2008

“The greatest trust I require
of myself – is that of self trust”
~by Eleesha,
Author of –
Secrets and Inspirations for Life: Unleash Your Inner Power Today

Listen to the Audio Version below:

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

It is a strange thing in life, but as people we tend to put a lot more trust in others than we do in ourselves. I am sure we have all been guilty of this at some point in our lives, but why we are guilty of this seems to be a harder question to answer.

Perhaps trust is a quality that, as children, we sought in our parents rather than ourselves, so as adults it seemed more natural to look for trust in others rather than in ourselves.

Whatever our reasons, there will come a time when we will need to rely on ourselves and our own “self trust.” It may take some time to shift your mindset about trust from others to yourself, but eventually, there will come a time when you will have to face this challenge.

For Your Mornings:

l want you to think about whether or not you have ever trusted yourself. If so, what were you able to achieve in your life when you fully trusted yourself? If not, ask yourself why it is that you do not feel worthy enough to trust yourself. Think about these two options throughout your day, and by the end of your day try to come up with some answers to them.

For Your Evenings:

Were you able to answer at least one of those two questions which were applicable to you? If you have never been able to trust in yourself were you able to touch upon what it was that sparked off your lack of “self trust?” If so, then perhaps you are already on the way to regaining your self trust. If not, then this is a good time to start thinking back to when you felt unable to trust yourself.

If, however, you have been one of the fortunate few who has always been able to rely on your “self trust” then think about what that has meant to you and how “trusting in yourself” has reflected upon your life and the person that you are.

I will leave this inspirational thought with you this week, in the hope that if you have never thought about “self trust” before, then you need to. For it is important that you find it within yourself to trust yourself first, before placing your trust in others. If you have used your “self trust” already, I think you will accept that it has probably never let you down and if you can find it within yourself to rely upon it more and more it will help guide you along life’s path far more easily with it, than without it.

To your Inspiration and Success!

Is It Possible To Leave Your Past Behind?

February 23rd, 2008

to all the good that is
coming towards you.”

When you make a decision to move on with your life, it is essential that you try to stay focused on what you are aiming to achieve. At times, we think about what we are “leaving behind” and wonder if we have the strength to leave all that was so familiar to us.

For Your Mornings:

I want you to think back to your childhood, regardless of your background try to remember as much as you can about it. How you lived, was your childhood happy or sad? What type of kid were you at home or at school? How did you relate to your parents, teachers and siblings, or were you an only child?

For Your Evenings:

I want you to recall some of your childhood memories you thought about earlier in the day. Now think about who you are today, what you have made of your live, what job you do now or what business you run. How does that compare to the type of kid that you were so many years ago? Now think about your future, what lies ahead, if you are intending to move on have you made some definite plans or life changing decisions. Now think about how you are moving towards those goals and aspirations.

If you haven’t got any, then you seriously need to be thinking about them. If you have, are you able to shake off your past and realize that, regardless of the child you were and the person who you are now – there is ”no need to ever look back at what you are leaving behind.”

I will leave this inspirational thought with you this week, in the hope that regardless of what has taken place in your past, you should let it go and now let yourself feel free ”to look forward to the good that is coming towards you.

”To your Inspiration and Success!

What Do I Have To Be Thankful For – In My Life?

March 1st, 2008

“Let me express my thanks
often and willingly for
I realize that by doing so,
I will always have more
to be thankful for in my life.”

No matter what your situation, there is likely to be someone else out there – that is far worse off than you. We are all guilty of taking most of what we have in our lives for granted. It also seems to be a familiar pattern of human nature that we tend to focus on what we do not have – rather than on what we do have. This inspiration is to inspire you to be thankful for all that you do have, therefore allowing your energy to flow and start creating more situations into your life that will allow you to “have more to be thankful for.”

For Your Mornings:

Try to think about all that you have in your life right now, as opposed to all that you do not have. Don’t think just about material things like owning a home or new car, but include intangible things like the love of your family and children. Maybe, you have a passion for something that you are proud of, you may have a hobby or collection that you take pride in. Were you able to do something special (either as a child or as an adult) which you realized came so naturally to you that people even complimented you or commented about just how good you were – but you thought little of it? Throughout the day, make a mental note of all these things. Do not judge yourself in anyway, just make a mental note of as much as you can.

For Your Evenings:

Earlier in the day you made a mental note of all the things that you considered that you “had” in your life. Were you surprised to learn that, aside from the material things, your list was a lot longer than you realized?

Before you fall asleep, whisper or give silent thanks to all those things that you now realize that you do have in your life. Remember that If you are able to ”express” your thanks “often and willingly” you will start to attract more into your life that you can be thankful for.

I will leave this inspirational thought with you this week, in the hope that regardless of how little you may feel you have, there is always someone out there who is far less fortunate than you, therefore you should continue to always look upon what you have in a thankful way.”

To your Inspiration and Success and have a wonderful week!

Is This The Best Way To Get Your Tasks completed?

March 8th, 2008

“May I always embark upon
my tasks with enthusiasm
and expectancy – as this is
the quickest and
most enjoyable way
to get them completed.”

We all have to face tasks in life, some far greater than others, that can be the make or break of us. We are somehow able to do the things that we like far more easily and seem to get those tasks completed in no time at all. However, it is the tasks that we dislike, or the larger tasks that seem to hang around forever and we find ourselves putting them off for longer and longer. They never seem to go away and eventually start to grow and become far larger tasks than they would have been, if we had just tackled them the first time around.
This inspirational affirmation is to help inspire you to “embark upon” or approach all tasks that lie ahead of you “with enthusiasm and expectancy”.

For Your Mornings:

Try to think about all the tasks that you need to accomplish this week. Some may be minor and some may be very important. Whatever they are, on this occasion, I would like you to put the most important tasks at the top of your list. Throughout the day, rather than dreading them, look upon them with “enthusiasm” and look forward with “expectation” to getting them completed. If your usual thoughts of dread about completing these tasks crop up, immediately replace them with thoughts of “enthusiasm” instead.

For Your Evenings:

By having a new approach towards your tasks, were you able to actually approach some of the harder tasks that, until now, you just seemed unable to start? Did you find that your enthusiasm made some of the tasks appear far smaller than you originally envisioned? Most importantly, did this new approach help you “get them completed” sooner than you would have – when you were filled with such dread?

I will leave this inspirational thought with you this week, in the hope that regardless of how big or small the tasks that lie ahead. It is your ”enthusiasm” and your sense of ”expectancy” towards them – that will be the ”quickest and most enjoyable way to get them completed.

To your Inspiration and Success and have a wonderful week!

The Vicious Circle of Worry and How To Break It

March 18th, 2008

“Let me not stop to worry
about all that I strive for.
For worrying, will only
delay me from achieving it.”

There are some fortunate people out there who seem to do very little worrying in their lives and they always seem so calm and collected in the way they go about their business. As a result, it seems that they have very little to worry about in their lives.

Then there are those of us who spend our whole lives worrying. Maybe you are at the stage where you are consumed with worry because you are not just worrying about the significant things, you are also worrying about the insignificant things going on in your life. The strange thing about worry is that, it can also be infectious – we start worrying, about what we are striving for – money, health, our job and soon we have others around us worrying also. This is what I call the “vicious circle of worry”. It really is vicious, because what presents itself to us, as the “cause of our worry” is impartial, it is us – who choose – whether or not to worry about it.

Well, these words are to inspire you, to put a stop to your “worrying”, because you need to focus on exactly what it is, you are striving for, rather than worrying. The thing about worry is when you break it down (as a state of being) it achieves very little for you – especially in finding a solution to whatever it is you were worrying about. What you think and focus on – you create, so if you worry, you are only setting yourself up to spend more time in your life worrying. Taking your thoughts away from what you are striving for and worrying, is certainly going to “delay” whatever it is – you are striving for.

Here are my suggestions for this week’s affirmation.

For Your Mornings:

I want you to try and think about everything that is going on in your life right now – what is it that worries you the most? Do you worry about one specific thing constantly or is it a series of things. When you pinpoint what it is you worry about, try to ask yourself what it is that worries you – is it tangible or intangible? For example, if you worry about money, what worries you most? Is it the fact that your bank account is empty or the fear that you do not feel that you will have enough for tomorrow and the day after? The more you think about it, the more you will start to pinpoint the origin of your worry. Now think about whether or not your worry will actually resolve anything. Will your worry suddenly bring you more money or fill your bank account? – No!

For Your Evenings:

If we can accept that worry does not bring about a solution – then why not let it go?. Instead of worrying, put your thoughts to better use, where you can focus on creating solutions. Think about the things you want to strive for in your life. It can be anything, it may be related to your career, job, moving, traveling or fulfilling your personal dream. Put aside any worrying thoughts and focus only on what it is – you want to achieve.

I will leave this inspirational thought with you this week, in the hope that you will free yourself from worrying regardless of how significant or insignificant the situation, so that you can rather focus on what you are striving for instead.

To your Inspiration and Success, have a wonderful week!

How Soon Will Your Goals & Desires Be Achieved?

March 26th, 2008

“There is no need
to rush hastily towards
your goals and desires,
as they will always arrive
on time and as scheduled.”

At times we attempt to rush too quickly towards our goals and our desires. Trying to manipulate or create strategies that we believe will surely help us reach our goals quickly. There is certainly nothing wrong in attempting to get things started and moving in the right direction, but at times, we need to accept that if what we desire is right for us then there is no need to rush or force things to happen in our favor. I think the key element here is the word “Trust”. Trust that, so long as you have your own personal goal in sight and you believe in it with all your heart, then it will come to you no matter what – as I say “On Time and As Scheduled”.

I would encourage you today to put your trust not only in yourself but in the Universal energy that your trust will create. This energy will also work in your favor and help bring to you, your heart’s desires.

Have you ever really deeply wanted or wished for something that you got – just like that – almost out of the blue and when you least expected it. This is what I am talking about.

Here are my suggestions for this week’s affirmation.

For Your Mornings:

I want you to think about something that you really want to happen for you in your life. As you think about it, start to believe that it is not just going to happen for you but that – it “is” happening for you. It can be anything, maybe it is owning something new, or maybe it’s more than that, perhaps doing something in your life that you have always wanted. Let your mind fast forward you to the point where you have received or attained it. Hold onto those feelings that you are experiencing and try to feel and sense them throughout your whole day.

For Your Evenings:

Remember those thoughts and feelings that you were able to feel earlier on in the day. Think back to those feelings and then, let them all go. Why? Well now you are going to let go of them because you are going to replace those feelings with a personal “sense of trust.” As if you know, you no longer need to push too hard for but that you feel secure in the knowledge that it will happen. Your trusting energy will now automatically start working for you. In just the same way as it did for you before – when you wished or wanted something so deeply and got it sooner than you thought in an unexpected way.

It is far easier to feel trusting about what you want, knowing it is on it’s way, than to feel anxious or rush towards it as if it is about to slip away from you. I will leave this inspirational thought with you this week and may you have many more trusting days ahead of you.

To your Inspiration and Success, have a wonderful week!

Is Your Fear Getting In The Way Of Your Opportunities?

April 3rd, 2008

“I am reminded of my fear

I often find that the people who complain that opportunities never seem to come their way, are the same people who always allow some great opportunities to either pass by or they choose to walk away from them. Although everyone has their own personal reasons for doing so, it is likely that when you allow a great opportunity to pass you by, it is not the opportunity that is stopping you from taking it – but your fear about what will happen when or if you take it.

Here are my suggestions for this week’s positive inspirational affirmation.

For Your Mornings:

Think back to when you last let a great opportunity pass you by. Perhaps it was a job promotion that you decided not to take, or you were offered a new job in a new city, but it would have meant leaving behind your friends and family or maybe you did not quite have enough self-belief to take advantage of it.

For Your Evenings:

Try to recall the reasons that you touched upon earlier. How often did fear crop up? Was it a major or minor factor in missing out on your opportunities. I will leave this inspirational thought with you this week in the knowledge that you must never allow your fears to let you miss out on an opportunity you know you should have taken.

To your Inspiration and Success, have a wonderful week!

Is It Possible To Be Empowered Daily?

April 12th, 2008

“I am empowered daily by
all that I do daily. For
it is through living and
learning that my strength
is utilized in the manner
that it should.”

Throughout your life, you will find that all your personal experiences, both past and present, will enable you to be in a continual process of learning. Living life and learning are two unique processes that seem to go hand in hand. Especially when it comes to helping to equip you with all that is required, for you to effectively make your way through life – in the manner of your own choosing.

Through each personal experience you will be afforded the opportunity not just to learn, but to also become strengthened. As time moves on and you evolve as you should – you will be able to draw upon this strength and use it to remain empowered whenever the need arises. This inner strength will grow and go on to empower you not just daily, but throughout the full course of your life.

Be empowered each day by all that you do daily. For it is through living that you learn and it is through learning that you are strengthened to utilize your inner power, in just the right manner that it should.

Here are my suggestions for this week’s empowering affirmation

For Your Mornings:

Think about some of the major personal experiences that have taken place in your life. Try to allow yourself to observe, them from afar almost as if watching a movie about yourself. From within, try to acknowledge how each experience has impacted you. Some of these experiences that you recall may be good, others may be bad – but regardless of which, try not to be too judgemental about them – just acknowledge them for having already taken place in your life.

For Your Evenings:

Now that you have had the time to review and acknowledge some of the major personal experiences that you have had in your life, ask yourself a very simple question – What was it that you were able to learn from each one? When you have answered this question in your mind, delve a little deeper and think about how your experience through learning was able to strengthen you as a person. Remember that you are not just strengthened by all that has been good in your life – and you should therefore be able to draw strength from either type of experience.

Use this opportunity to hold onto the inner strength that you have discovered within yourself. You will now be able to draw upon it, time and time again – especially when it is needed the most. I will leave this inspirational thought with you this week in the knowledge that you must look within in order to strengthen and empower yourself without.

To your Inspiration and Success, have a wonderful week!
